How do I care for my virgin hair?

Are you caring for your virgin hair?

Ladies sometimes it's good to bare in mind that it's not the product but possibly the person using it ;-)

Virgin Hair is the highest quality of hair available, it has not been chemically processed or altered, therefore the hair is in its purest natural state. All the cuticles are intact which guarantees the hair to be tangle free and have minimal shedding. If virgin hair is not properly treated, like your own hair it can be damaged and lose its natural beauty. You must always remember wether you are shampooing, conditioning or moisturising, following the proper steps will maintain the natural beauty of your virgin hair for many months to come.

Brushing Your Hair

To brush your hair you need to use a brush designed for extensions or a wide tooth comb. Always brush from the roots to the tips of your hair to avoid tangling.

Shampooing and Conditioning

You need pay very close attention to what you put in your hair. Using the wrong hair products can cause damage faster than you can image. It is recommended to use products that are alcohol-free and do not contain other harmful components. You can shampoo and condition your hair with a high quality product, preferably organic. My personal favourite is Tresemme but Herbal Essence is great brand too. When using your conditioner please keep it in for 15mins and use luke warm water to rinse. It is recommend to shampoo and condition your hair at least once every two weeks but ideally one a week.

After washing your hair, you can use a towel to gently dry it. Blow drying your hair is not recommended, as it can damage your hair but if you must blow dry, make sure you use it on a low heat and with heat protector. You can also use a leave-in conditioner while your hair is still damp, as it adds extra moisture leaving the hair looking healthy.

What's your style?

After your hair is dry, you can style it however you like it. But try to minimise use of hair spray, gel, or mousse because they can cause harm to your hair and create split ends. If you are a heavy product user then I definitely suggest you wash your hair weekly. It is recommended to use organic products such as my personal favourite Argan Oil as they contain no harmful ingredients, and will keep your hair looking fabulous.

I hope you apply these tips on how to properly take care of your virgin hair. If you want your hair to stay beautiful and last long, make sure you follow these tips. If you are serious about your hair, learn how to take care of it. Quality hair is an investment so protect it and we promise you will not be disappointed with the results.
